AI Forum NZ Rebranding

During my time at MDS, we were approached by AI Forum New Zealand to full rebrand themselves, adding collateral and finding new ways to reach their audience. This interdisciplinary group project consisted of us collaborating to tailor to their target audience, and show them what can be acheived through the power of AI. We were tasked with rolling out collateral for their upcoming AI Hackathon, as well as using social media to create a wider outreach to the current target market. For this project, I took on the role of Project Manager, overseeing the team, allocating responsibilities, and making sure deadlines were being met on time and of the highest quality.

A logo with connections

The new brand logo is a symbol of the sustainability that we provided as an AI brand. It is a representation of the connection that we have to Aotearoa. The different logo variants have been created to ensure their legibility throughout the content that our partners produce.

A modern way to connect

The new social media platforms have been used to create a community that caters to the younger demographic who may not know much about AI Forum NZ. To demonstrate the power of AI, Midjourney prompts were used in tandem with our design skills to create the background graphics.

Exploding onto the scene

The 2023 hackathon was an opportunity to showcase the power of AI to new audiences. The multi-day event would be advertised through social media to engage our target market, with the social media posts slowly building hype as more details about the event would be released.

Revolutionary engagement

As part of the hackathon, a voxpop experience was released, where users could answer questions in person or through scanning a QR code. By answering the questions, they were given a complementary pamphlet and lets them know how they have contributed to the future of AI. The purpose was the educate the audience about the uses of AI, and make them feel like they’ve contributed in some engaging way.
